The Polish Council of Youth Organisations is a forum for cooperation between non-governmental organisations to which young Poles have access. The aim of PROM is, among other things, to popularise young people in public life, inform public opinion about the state of youth policy in Poland and represent the organisation. The fundamental issue is to take action towards a solution and for innovative youth policy in Poland. Thanks to this, we can assist young Poles in the debate on their rights, privileges and future. PROM reaches over a quarter of a million people in participating organisations operating both nationwide, regionally and locally. PROM also represents Polish youth at EU Youth Conferences.

We are an advocacy youth organization. Our daily activities are based on creating space for debate on the issues most important to young people and on constant monitoring of legislation and advocacy. Actively we are participating and cooperating with parliamentary youth commission, ministry ands the consultation group on the side of president, which give us access to be involved representatives of many different youth circles, as well as decision-makers. These activities on policy making level brings us to our other activity – gathering youth councils on local and regional level to give them access to governmental bodies, help them to constitute, work and have an impact in their community. In that case we are addressing our international partnerships and projects to active youth from all over Poland.. For years, PROM has involved non-governmental organisations working on behalf of young people as one of its tools. Representatives of the organizations act as experts in debates, but also as trainers and advisors in many of the organisations activities.(these paragraphs can be left out; begin below) Since the beginning of its existence (2011) PROM has implemented dozens of projects concerning broadly understood youth policy, connected with youth advocacy, increasing youth participation in public life or youth councils. PROM is an organisation with a wide range of experience in implementing projects financed from various sources – from European funds (mainly: Erasmus+), as well as others, for example, projects financed by foundations of state-owned companies. Our structure is based on the several volunteering teams as well as delegates who are nominated by PROMs partner youth organizations. The coordination is based on the responsibilities of the board. Our working groups are; delegates team, team of the youth councils, team for the communication with governmental bodies, media team and teams which are established for certain project reasons and goals. We do not have any permanent workers. We work based on temporary contracts and as volunteers.
